How to take care of your tattoo before and after your session at my studio in Longueuil
Tattoo maintenance and tattoo aftercare are essential to avoid infections and to preserve the brightness of the drawing on skin for a long time. After each tattoo session, I take the time to give you all the necessary instructions to support the healing of your tattoo. I am always available if you have any questions about the care of your tattoo.
How to prepare before your tattoo session

These substances thin the blood and can make the tattoo session difficult. Also take care to sleep well and eat before your appointment to be in shape.
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
The pain during tattooing depends a lot on the area of the body that is tattooed. The shoulder is much less sensitive than the ribs, for example. After a few tens of minutes, the body becomes accustomed to the sensation and the pain decreases. During your session with me at the Nancy tattoo studio in Longueuil, I remain at your disposal and we can take breaks if necessary.
How to care for your tattoo after your visit to the salon
After your appointment, some care will be necessary for your tattoo to heal well. Right after your session, your tattoo will be covered with a bandage. Depending on the type of bandage applied, the length of time you should keep it may vary.
Once you have removed your bandage, use moisturizer and odourless soap to cleanse and support the healing of your tattoo. When taking a shower or cleaning your new tattoo, do not let the water run directly on it and set the temperature so that it is lukewarm.
Clean your tattoo by applying soap and moisturizer once a day for the first week. Do not rub your tattoo and allow it to air dry during the healing time of your tattoo.
Apply the moisturizers 2 to 3 times a day for the first 10 days, making sure to only apply a thin layer to let the tattoo heal in the open air.
After the first few days, you will see crusts forming on your tattoo that could cause itching. Do not remove the crusts and avoid scratching. The formation of crusts is part of the natural healing process of your skin.
During the healing process, avoid swimming in the pool or in a lake. Contact with water could cause infections.
Tips for the care of your new tattoo
Once your tattoo has taken the time to heal, you can adopt some good habits to maintain it and keep it looking longer.
Apply sunscreen on your tattoo when you go outside. Long exposure to the sun can make your tattoo fade. Make it a habit to hydrate your tattoo from time to time to maintain its quality.
